Mallory nodded slowly, feeling bad for even asking him. Her and very few other Slytherins were really the only one who liked him, everyone else either didn’t give a fuck or hated him. She knew he wasn’t fond of Adrian, and it just felt wrong to ask now that she actually thought about it. Adrian had come to her sometimes, complaining about Cormac, so it was the same feelings on both ends, but this meant a lot to her. She lowered her eyes slightly, “I.. You don’t have to go I mean.. I can ask Graham if he’d go maybe.” That was something she wouldn’t mind very much, but she’d rather have him there any day. There was one flaw of Cormac going though - he’d have to meet her parents. That scared the living shit out of her. Mallory knew he could probably tell something was up by her sudden change in expression, but she didn’t care, “Um.. actually.. Maybe you shouldn’t go..” Of course she wasn’t ashamed of him, but she was worried at her parents reaction.
Cormac shook his head against her suggestion that she bring Graham instead. He had no problem going along with her, he would just have to keep himself composed. It didn’t matter to him, as long as he could be there for Mallory. And then suddenly her expression changed from apologetic to worried. “I… shouldn’t?” he asked hesitantly. “Um… why?” he asked, pressing his lips together.
